This hiking tour is the perfect way to explore the region’s dramatic coastline, hidden beaches, and unspoiled nature. From Faro to Sagres, our guided coastal walks take you through stunning cliffs, nature reserves, and historic villages, offering an unforgettable outdoor experience in southern Portugal. Many of our walks pass through protected areas like the Costa Vicentina Natural Park.
ITINERARY:
DAY 0
Meet at our waterside hotel in Faro, overlooking the marina and a national park.

DAY 1
Start the day with a transfer to the fishing port of Olhão, where we visit the lively fish and vegetable market. A boat takes us to Culatra, one of the tiny sandbar islands off the coast with no vehicles and no roads. We follow a sandy beach to the lighthouse, have lunch on the island, then return by boat to Faro. Once in Faro, option to visit the old town center or relax at the hotel pool.

DAY 2
We start with trail Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos (Seven Hanging Valleys) is one of the most scenic hiking routes of the Algarve. This moderately challenging hike trail follows the stunning coastline between Vale de Centianes (Carvoeiro) in the west and the Praia da marinha to the east. Lunch in Ferragudo. After lunch a short walk from the restaurant to Praia grande finishing the walk in center of ferragudo.

DAY 3
Spend the day on Mount Foia. At 3,000 feet, this is the highest point in the Algarve mountain range. The panoramic views of whitewashed villages reaching out to the sea are dazzling, and Foia is especially rich in native flora with ample chance to see many different species. After the hike we go back to the hotel where you can relax at pool and spa and have dinner at the hotel.

DAY 4
In the morning we drive to Lagos where we will walk around the city 4km, passing by the slave market, st. Antonio Church and the beautiful view point with the rock formation of Ponta da Piedade, ending at the restaurant in porto mós. Transfer to praia da Ingrina walk till the hotel in Sagres

DAY 5
Transfer from hotel to the point where we will start walk along the west coast in Bordeira passing by sand dunes and cliffs beside the Atlantic ocean, lunch in a restaurant in Carrapateira continue the walk in the afternoon till Amado Beach
Transfer back to the hotel, dinner near by the hotel

DAY 6
Set out on an all-day walk to Cape St Vincent. Count on spectacular ocean views from cliffs that rise 250 feet above the sea. Packed with seafaring history, this part of the Algarve is as interesting as it is beautiful. Most of the area is now a National Park, with scenic coastal trails winding through flowering rock rose and South African ice plant; where massive folded and eroded cliffs continue to be lashed by the mighty Atlantic, and migrant birds, gannets, dolphins and whales plunder the rich sea life offshore. In a word: amazing. Free time in the afternoon

DAY 7 – Departure
After breakfast, we provide a transfer to Faro Airport or other destination in the Algarve.
